Dr Simon Hickman

Dr Simon Hickman is a Consultant Physician specialising in General (Internal) Medicine and Acute Medicine, who provides expert clinical care for adult patients with a wide spectrum of acute and general medical conditions. Adopting a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to delivering rapid medical assessments, precise diagnoses, and individualised management plans for patients requiring urgent hospital care.

Dr Hickman earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester in 2008. He subsequently completed specialist training in Acute Medicine within the North West Deanery in 2016 and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education. Prior to taking up his appointment as a Consultant, he further broadened his clinical perspective by serving as a Senior Registrar overseas. Dr Hickman is a professional member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and the Society of Acute Medicine.

His clinical interests span acute medical assessment, multisystem disease management, ambulatory medical care, and same-day emergency care. Dr Hickman also maintains a strong commitment to clinical education and training, working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain high standards of patient safety, medical quality, and clinical continuity.
