Miss Silvia Carta

Miss Silvia Carta is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in London, UK. She currently practises at New Victoria Hospital and Dottore London.

Miss Carta completed her primary medical degree in 2011 at the University of Palermo, Italy and completed specialist training at the same university. She completed her initial post-qualification training in Italy at Paolo Giaccone University Hospital and Civico Di Cristina Benfratelli Hospital. She later completed two training fellowships in the UK, at the renowned St George's Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London. During these years of training, she developed her expertise in gynaecological surgery, foetal medicine, gynaecological oncology and ultrasound.

During her fellowship at St George's hospital, she conducted ultrasound research and was able to publish her work in peer-reviewed journals and present her work internationally at congresses.

Miss Carta completed Advanced Training Skills Modules at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and gained expertise in benign gynaecological surgery, early pregnancy and advanced labour ward practice.

In her current positions, she treats an expansive range of gynaecological conditions and carries out a number of surgeries and procedures. She has clinical interests in the following:
