Dr. Shyla Velayutham

Dr. Shyla Velayutham is a Consultant Radiologist with extensive experience across various healthcare settings. She currently serves as a Locum Consultant Radiologist at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) in Peterborough, UK. In this role, she has been providing expert radiological services since 2019. Prior to this position, she worked as a Trust Specialty Doctor at CPFT, where she specialised in X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound reporting.

Dr. Velayutham's career also includes experience at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow, where she worked as a Trust Specialty Doctor. During this period, she was involved in X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI reporting. 

Earlier in her career, Dr. Velayutham served as a junior Consultant at Columbia Asia Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., focusing on tele-radiology and reporting X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. Her initial professional experience was as a Radiologist at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bengaluru, India, where she reported X-rays, ultrasounds, and CT scans.

Dr. Velayutham completed her DMRD (Diploma in Medical Radiology and Diagnosis) at VIMS Bellary in 2009 with distinction and holds an MBBS degree from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, completed in 2006.
