Dr. Madiha Hussain

Dr Madiha Hussain is a Consultant Radiologist at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Free Hospital Foundation Trust, specialising in general radiology and breast imaging. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, accurate diagnoses to support patients throughout their treatment journeys.

Dr Hussain completed her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Basic Medical Sciences at King’s College London in 2009 attaining a First Class Honours, followed by her medical degree at King’s College London in 2012. She went on to undertake specialist training in radiology and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2022.

Madiha is committed to medical education, organising numerous radiology teaching sessions imparting trainee to trainee radiolgists. Her dedication extends to serving as an OSCE examiner for University College London medical students. Her contributions to the field are evidenced by her publications on breast imaging, which she has presented at numerous national and international radiology conferences, reinforcing her standing within the global radiology community.

Her expertise covers a broad range of diagnostic imaging, with a particular focus on breast health including breast ultrasound and a range of ultrasound-guided procedures, such as biopsies, fine needle aspirations, vacuum-assisted excisions, lesion localisation, and marker insertion. Dr Hussain is also trained to perform these procedures using stereotactic and tomosynthesis guidance. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver clear and timely results, ensuring patients feel supported and informed at every stage. Dr Hussain’s approachable manner and strong communication skills allow her to explain investigations in a way that is reassuring and easy to understand.

With her strong background in both physiology and medicine, Dr Hussain brings a holistic perspective to her radiology practice. She is committed to combining advanced imaging techniques with compassionate patient care, helping individuals feel confident in the care they receive.
