Mr Thava helped me with my menopausal symptoms and started me on a HRT regimen that has transformed my life completely! He has a wonderful bedside manner and actually takes the time to listen. I can’t recommend him enough to any woman struggling with the perimenopause.

Mr Thava has a great manner and wasreally clear in his communication of the options available to me. I felt he really listened to me and considered the best option for me personally rather than giving me a generic Spiel.

I started to have first obvious signs of perimenopause about 3 years ago. I had increased frequency of palpitations, arthritic like pain, anxiety, cramps, migraines, just to name a few. I got checked from top to bottom by my GP, but there was nothing medically wrong with me. Still, there were times when I couldn’t walk stairs as my knees were stiff and swollen. With knees like that, I had trouble to drive my electric car, not to mention the manual one. I couldn’t move my shoulders anymore. I had this whole body pain that wouldn’t respond to any pain killer. With that pain going on, sleep quality was poor as well. I felt weak with no power at all. I am a very active person and love to lift weights. My strength declined over the course of only a few months without an explanation. As a 46 year old mother of 3 still young children, with a full time job and an active physical life style as an important part of my life, I asked for advice from a specialist for perimenopause and menopause. Dr Thava listened carefully and we established together what my priorities are as they vary from woman to woman. He then provided me with my opinions, explained them in detail including the risks and benefits, practicability etc and asked me what I would prefer. Based on that, we set up a plan for hormonal substitution. I really appreciated his calm and understanding yet professional approach. He gave me choices and provided the information which allowed me to make an informed decision. One important aspect was management of expectations. He pointed out that there is a chance that the current pla...

I always felt listened to and supported, and I am very grateful for the care I received.

Fibroids that caused kidney damage, open myomectomy, menstruation disorder. Dr Thava was instrumental in diagnosing and pushing forward the operation timelines to achieve a hastened recovery. Extremely pleasant person to deal with, very knowledgeable and at ease with explaining complex technical concepts in laymen terms. I'm hopeful I won't need to see a doctor again, but if I did, I'd be very assured to receive care from Dr Thava.

Mr Thava helped me when I had a new diagnosis of fibroids. He was reassuring, calm and gave me really clear explanations to understand the conditions and what this meant for me. I was much less anxious about planning future pregnancies and with his advice actually managed to reduce the size of my fibroids! I would definitely recommend this excellent gynaecologist to anyone who needs one.
