Dr Sethumadhavan Vijayan

Dr Sethumadhavan Vijayan is an accomplished Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in interventional cardiology and structural heart interventions. Dedicated to providing reassuring, patient-centred cardiovascular care, he focuses on delivering advanced, evidence-based treatments tailored to individual clinical needs. In his clinical practice, Dr Vijayan places a strong emphasis on minimally invasive heart therapies. His areas of expertise encompass transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) including MitraClip procedures, and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Dr Vijayan earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2003. He completed core medical training in Wales, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), before undertaking higher specialty training in Cardiology in South Yorkshire. He was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Leeds for his clinical research, and he subsequently completed dedicated interventional cardiology fellowship training in Perth, Australia, as well as structural heart interventional fellowship training in Liverpool.
