Ms Seena Nambiar

Ms Seena Nambiar is a dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care for a broad spectrum of general ophthalmic conditions. Recognised for her calm, reassuring, and patient-centred approach, Ms Nambiar takes the time to understand individual concerns and formulates bespoke, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's visual needs.

Ms Nambiar earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and completed a Diploma in Ophthalmology. She went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, after which she completed advanced specialist fellowship training in glaucoma in Nottingham. In addition to her clinical commitments, Ms Nambiar maintains active professional membership as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and has contributed to medical education through her work as a Royal College Tutor.

In her clinical practice, Ms Nambiar possesses particular expertise in diagnosing and managing glaucoma and cataracts. She is highly skilled in performing small-incision cataract surgery for both routine and complex cases, including tailored procedures for individuals with co-existing glaucoma. Her extensive surgical capability encompasses glaucoma laser treatments, trabeculectomy, and aqueous shunt implants. She also provides a comprehensive range of minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, such as iStent insertion, Preserflo MicroShunt implantation, viscocanaloplasty, and trabeculotomy.
