Dr Sarah Johnson-Lynn

Dr Sarah Johnson-Lynn is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb conditions, foot and ankle surgery, and complex limb reconstruction. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, from acute traumatic injuries to chronic lower limb disorders. Her clinical practice focuses on restoring mobility, alleviating pain, and delivering tailored treatment strategies designed to optimise patient outcomes and quality of life.

In addition to her clinical commitments, Dr Johnson-Lynn is actively engaged in advancing orthopaedic medicine through rigorous research and surgical education. Her clinical interests encompass total ankle replacement, diabetic foot management, bone infection treatments, and complex fracture care. She frequently contributes to academic studies and professional initiatives aimed at refining surgical techniques, enhancing patient safety, and improving long-term recovery after lower limb surgery.

Dr Johnson-Lynn earned her primary medical qualifications (BMedSci and MBBS) from Newcastle University, where she subsequently completed a Doctorate (PhD) focusing on osseointegration, as well as a Master of Science (MSc) and a Master in Medical Education (MMedEd). She undertook specialty orthopaedic training in the North East before completing advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and limb reconstruction. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr & Orth) and maintains active memberships with key professional bodies, including serving in committee leadership roles for the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
