Dr. Sami Al-Ali

Dr. Sami Al-Ali is a highly regarded Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of lower limb conditions, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. His clinical practice encompasses both elective procedures and complex trauma care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan suited to their individual needs.

His clinical interests cover a comprehensive spectrum of foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Al-Ali has extensive expertise in managing arthritis of the foot and ankle, performing joint fusions, and administering therapeutic injections. He is highly skilled in deformity correction, including the treatment of bunions (hallux valgus), big toe arthritis (hallux rigidus), flat feet (pes planus), and high arched feet (pes cavus). Additionally, he regularly treats tendon and ligament injuries, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, and diabetic foot complications. He is also proficient in minimally invasive techniques, such as ankle arthroscopy, to promote faster recovery times for his patients.

Dr. Al-Ali completed his medical education at the Southampton University Medical School, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine. He went on to pursue advanced surgical training, obtaining his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS Edinburgh) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He also holds the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) qualification.
