Miss Sameena Kausar

Miss Sameena Kausar is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Essex and London, with specialist expertise in menstrual disorders, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), colposcopy, gynaecological cancer and high-risk pregnancy care.

She completed her specialist training across leading London and Oxford deanery hospitals, including placements at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, John Radcliffe Hospital and University Hospital Southampton, where she gained extensive experience managing complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions.

Alongside her clinical practice, Miss Kausar contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in collaboration with Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and Anglia Ruskin University.

Her clinical practice covers a broad range of general and specialist gynaecological services, including the management of heavy and irregular periods, recurrent miscarriage, family planning, early pregnancy complications and pre-pregnancy counselling for women with complex medical conditions. She also has an interest in perinatal mental health and supportive care throughout pregnancy.

Miss Kausar is experienced in both diagnostic and operative gynaecological surgery. Procedures performed include hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, hysterectomy, cervical cerclage, LLETZ procedures, endometrial ablation, Mirena coil insertion and treatment of ovarian pathology.
