Ms Saiqa Sayed

Ms Saiqa Sayed is a dedicated Consultant Vascular Surgeon and General Surgeon who provides high-quality, patient-centred surgical care. She offers treatment for a broad range of vascular and general surgical conditions, combining technical expertise with a compassionate and reassuring bedside manner. Ms Sayed completed her medical education at the University of Leicester, receiving her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) upon qualifying in 1998. Following her core surgical training, she undertook postgraduate research in vascular biology at the University of London, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) for her research into carotid plaque stability. She completed higher surgical training in General Surgery before specialising further in vascular techniques, earning her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). Ms Sayed maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, The Vascular Society, and the Medical Protection Society.

In her clinical practice, Ms Sayed manages both elective and urgent surgical conditions with a focus on modern, evidence-based interventions. Her areas of clinical focus encompass lower limb salvage, venous disease, varicose veins, thread veins, aortic aneurysmal disease, carotid artery disease, and peripheral vascular disease. She is experienced in performing both traditional open operations and minimally invasive endovascular procedures, tailoring treatments to achieve the best clinical outcomes and support quick patient recovery.

Alongside her clinical responsibilities, Ms Sayed is deeply committed to medical education, serving as a clinical supervisor and contributor to post-graduate courses and examinations for trainees.
