Mr Ross Warner is a Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon.
He studied medicine at the University of Bristol, graduating with distinction. He completed his surgical and urological training in London and the East Midlands, gaining experience in several high-volume specialist centres including University College London Hospital, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. During this time, he developed expertise in complex open and minimally-invasive urological surgery and the full range of core general urological procedures.
In 2022, Mr Warner was awarded the Keith Yeates Gold Medal and the Ralph Shackman Grant for outstanding performance in the FRCS (Urol) examination, the final professional examination required to complete specialist training in urology.
Following this, he undertook the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England and British Association of Urological Surgeons Robotic Fellowship at the Lister Hospital. During this fellowship he received advanced training in robotic surgery, including robotic procedures for kidney, bladder and prostate conditions.
Mr Warner was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Urologist in Oxford, specialising in the management of bladder and prostate cancer, where he offers both open and minimally invasive robotic techniques.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Warner has a strong commitment to medical education. He is the Urology Lead for University of Oxford medical students, the Urology Education Lead for resident doctors, and the Prostate Cancer Lead for the Urology National Online Training and Education (UNOTE) platform.
Ross is a bladder cancer section editor for the Journal of Clinical Urology and regularly appraises work submitted at national urological meetings. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and written chapters for several internationally acclaimed medical textbooks including Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology and Gray’s Surgical Anatomy.
