Dr Morrison graduated with a medical degree from Leeds Medical School and completed an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours at Dundee University. He undertook higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in the North East of England, followed by a dedicated specialist fellowship in knee surgery. In 2022, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Newcastle University, and he holds Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr & Orth). Dr Morrison has previously served as a Research Fellow with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has held executive positions within national research bodies, including serving as past chair of the national orthopaedic research collaborative CORNET and academic representative for the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association.
