Dr Roderick Mitchell

Dr Roderick Mitchell is a Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist and Paediatrician who provides expert clinical care for children and young people experiencing hormonal, growth, and developmental conditions. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred healthcare, guiding families through complex endocrine evaluations with reassuring communication and evidence-based medicine.

Dr Mitchell completed his medical degree (MBChB) alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Aberdeen in 1999. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional excellence in child health, he achieved membership as a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2003.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Mitchell focuses on paediatric growth, pubertal development, and general endocrine disorders. He holds specialist interest in fertility preservation for young male cancer patients, disorders of sex development, and testicular tissue cryopreservation. Collaborating within multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Dr Mitchell ensures each patient receives a holistic, individualised care plan tailored to their unique medical and developmental requirements.
