Mr Robert Morris, Consultant Neurosurgeon, works at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge as the Clinical Lead for Neurosurgery. He also sees patients privately at the Cambridge Lea and Cambridge Nuffield Hospitals. His expertise incorporates spinal and cranial neurosurgery, with subspecialty interest in functional neurosurgery (epilepsy and Parkinson's disease), and the treatment of degenerative spinal conditions (including leg pain, arm pain, back pain and myelopathy).
After completing a degree in English LIterature at Cambridge University, Mr Morris proceeded to study medicine in Sheffield, qualifying in 2000. He was awarded the Chairmans Cup indicating that he was the highest ranked medical student in Finals exams. He trained in Neurosurgery in London at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Great Ormond Street Hopsital, completing training with a Fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery at Kings College Hospital.
Mr Morris was appointed a Consultant at Cambridge University Hospitals in 2013 and has established Cambridge as a national and international centre of expertise and research in his area of neurosurgery. He teaches medical students and neurosurgery trainees, and engages with patient support groups, and he has published academic research throughout his career.
