Mr Fahid Rasul

Mr Rasul has been a calm, professional and informative presence before, during and after my journey to have an intradural tumour removed. I am grateful for all of his help and guidance.

I had my lumbar decompression surgery on Wednesday 12th August. I stayed over one night and returned home on the next day, Thursday. I found the immediate post op pain and discomfort from the wound site bearable but did take a little liquid morphine over the first few days. I had good movement from very early and after 2 weeks saw Mr. Fahid Rasul in a follow up meeting on the morning of the 26th August. He said the wound had healed well and as I was well and had good mobility he could discharge me. I have been looked after exceedingly well by the Spire Southbank and am very grateful to Mr Rasul for his expertise in this matter

I can't recommend Mr Rasul highly enough. From my first consultation right through to my post-operative appointments, he has been compassionate, reassuring and incredibly professional. My surgery was more complex than expected, but he took the time to explain everything clearly and always made me feel informed and supported. During my recovery, he was incredibly responsive to my emails when I was feeling anxious, which gave me so much reassurance and confidence. Six weeks on, my quality of life is dramatically better than it was before surgery, and I'm gradually returning to a normal life. Mr Rasul has been fantastic throughout my recovery. I have felt listened to and cared for. He combines exceptional surgical expertise with genuine kindness and compassion for his patients. I feel incredibly grateful for everything he has done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing spinal surgery.

Mr Rasul is personable, understanding and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed my medical condition and explained thoroughly the issues and solutions. He performed the complex surgery expertly and the follow- up enabled me to make a speedy recovery. Very highly recommended.

Mr Rasul is my hero. I have spent years being semi crippled by back pain - in the end I couldn’t stand straight and limped after a few meters walking. He saw me promptly after a beg for help and then after discussing options operated the following week (may have been lucky but he was trying so hard to help me as I was so broken) My operation was a total success, my back and leg pain are almost completely gone and I feel like a new person. My husband says I look 20 years younger. I can never thank him enough - if you are looking for a professional highly capable and skilled surgeon - he is your man.

Both staf and Mr Rasul are very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Mr Rasul and his team.
