Dr Richard Marks

Dr Richard Marks is an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist specialising in comprehensive anaesthetic care and perioperative safety across a wide range of surgical procedures. Working in close collaboration with surgical teams, he ensures that patient comfort, optimal pain management, and physiological monitoring remain central to every procedure. Dr Marks is known for his reassuring clinical manner, taking time to explain anaesthetic options thoroughly and address any anxieties patients may have prior to surgery.

Dr Marks completed his medical education at the University of London, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1979. He pursued specialist postgraduate training in London and North Carolina, qualifying as a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 1983. A recognised leader in his field, Dr Marks has held senior national roles, including Vice-President and Council Member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, as well as Council Member of the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists.

With extensive expertise in general anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and sedation, Dr Marks focuses on delivering personalised, high-quality care tailored to individual patient needs.
