Rachna is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, Aesthetic, Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. She is listed in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2022 as top 3 for eyes and awarded Consultant Surgeon of the year 2022 at the CCR Aesthetics Awards. After more than a decade as a Consulant surgeon, where she led the Cambridge University Hospitals Thyroid Eye Disease Service providing quaternary oculoplastic care for the East of England region, Ms Murthy left the NHS, Co-founding the private practice FaceRestoration. Her service has been internationally recognised and she enjoys faculty status at numerous international meetings.
Ms Murthy is an experienced surgical trainer not just in the NHS and for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists but also in the private sector where her academic safety work with dermal fillers and technical skills has led to her appointment as faculty of the Allergan Medical Institute. As the lead periocular skin cancer clinician for Ipswich, she has also helped to pioneer innovative surgical approaches resulting in reduced patient attendance and cancer recurrence with improved cosmetic outcomes.
She is amongst a handful of oculoplastic surgeons invited to be a full member of the British, European and American Oculoplastic Surgical Societies, and sits on the board of the Royal Society of Medicine's Ophthalmology section. Her publications have won international prizes and are widely quoted. Prior to her decade of consultant experience her own post-residency fellowship training was at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, both in London as well as the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, in Melbourne, Australia,

Dr Murphy is a highly skilled surgeon with a sympathetic bedside manner. She is realistic and will only treat you if she can help unlike many other "top" surgeons I have met.

Rachna is a wonderful Dr. So caring, kind and attentive . From my first meeting with her I knew she would be the Dr I would trust to do my eye surgery . One of the things I found amazing was a full eye test prior to booking my treatment. I had this procedure done several years ago with a cosmetic surgeon and it was just a straightforward chat. No pictures , eye test etc. Whilst the outcome was good , this time round there was no bruising, pain etc. Rachna is a wonderful and such a a lovely Dr xx

I underwent bilateral upper lid blephroplasty under Rachna Murthy. I cannot recommend Ms Murthy highly enough -,not only is her surgical expertise outstanding, she is also approachable, personable and (most importantly of all) kind. She explained the cause of my eye problem, how she planned to operate and talked me through each step in a clear and reassuring manner. Both Ms Murthy and her theatre staff were exemplary in their patient care and follow up. I am thrilled with the results and so grateful I was looked after by such a skilled surgeon.

Before I came here, I had my undereye fillers done by a different company who have ended up making my face even worse. My undereyes looked horrendous and it was truly a very aggravating experience. I took my chances and came here, which I had later found that I had most definitely made the right decision. The results showed! I had my treatment done by Dr Rachna Murthy, who was one of the loveliest people I had ever met. She really cared for me and my situation and that was very important to me. She completely fixed my problem and it honestly couldn't have gone better. She took care and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. Dr Rachna Murthy is a very sweet, kind and caring woman, definitely takes pride and care for her work as well as her patients. I am so overjoyed that I came here and was treated by such a wonderful and professional person.

Ms Murthy was extremely professional with an excellent calm and gentle attitude. For someone who had never had any sort of operation before, the Ptosis repair which she undertook for me was an infinitely better experience than I was expecting
