Dr Rachel Westbrook is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with digestive and hepatic disorders. She specialises in evaluating and treating complex gastrointestinal conditions, delivering individualised management plans designed to improve patient outcomes. Working collaboratively within specialist clinical teams, Dr Westbrook ensures that patients receive clear communication and supportive medical care throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical interests focus on liver disease, including autoimmune hepatitis, cirrhosis, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. As a specialist in Hepatology, Dr Westbrook has substantial experience in liver transplantation care, including pre-assessment, prehabilitation, and post-transplant management. She routinely evaluates patients presenting with abnormal liver function tests, metabolic conditions, and general gastrointestinal concerns, performing thorough clinical assessments and directing targeted treatments.

Dr Westbrook completed her primary medical degree, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), before undertaking higher postgraduate research to achieve a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
