Dr Philip Rolland

Dr Philip Rolland is a dedicated Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides reassuring, patient-centred care for women experiencing a wide range of reproductive health conditions. Known for combining clinical expertise with an empathetic bedside manner, Dr Rolland ensures that every individual receives clear explanations, tailored treatment options, and compassionate support. His practice encompasses both diagnostic evaluations and comprehensive management strategies for complex gynaecological health concerns.

In his clinical practice, Dr Rolland specialises in the management of gynaecological cancers and benign vulval disorders. His areas of clinical interest include the investigation and treatment of vulval skin conditions, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, ovarian cysts, endometrial diseases, and pelvic malignancies. As a skilled Gynaecological Surgeon, he routinely performs minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, advanced robotic-assisted surgeries, total radical laparoscopic hysterectomies, para-aortic and pelvic lymph node dissections, and radical ovarian debulking procedures designed to achieve optimal outcomes for his patients.

Dr Rolland earned his initial medical degrees (BM, BS, BMedSci) before completing basic surgical and gynaecological training in Nottingham. He was subsequently awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) for his clinical research investigating the role of immunophenotype in determining prognosis in ovarian cancer. Following this, he undertook higher gynaecological training in London and completed a two-year sub-specialty fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology in the North East of England. Dr Rolland is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS).
