Mr Phil Williams

Mr Phil Williams is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of lower limb conditions. Known for his calm, patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to relieving pain, restoring mobility, and improving the overall quality of life for individuals suffering from hip and knee disorders. He places a strong emphasis on personalised care, ensuring that every patient receives a comprehensive assessment and a tailored treatment plan aligned with their individual goals.

His clinical focus encompasses advanced joint replacement procedures, including primary total hip replacement and primary total knee replacement, as well as partial knee replacement. In addition to primary joint surgery, Mr Williams offers non-surgical and conservative treatment options, such as ultrasound-guided joint injections, to help manage arthritis and soft tissue conditions. He maintains a keen interest in joint preservation and evidence-based surgical techniques designed to optimise post-operative recovery and long-term joint function.

Mr Williams completed his medical degree (BMBS) at St George's Hospital Medical School, London, qualifying in 1986. Following his undergraduate studies, he undertook basic surgical training in Leicester and Nottingham, followed by higher specialist orthopaedic training in Dundee and Perth. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS) in 1996.
