Mr Paul Sutton is professional, clear, and reassuring in his patient interactions. He explains complex medical procedures, options, and risks, ensuring patients feel confident and informed. Patients report excellent surgical outcomes and value his compassionate support throughout their treatment. He provides care for conditions such as Heated Intra-Peritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), Cytoreductive Surgery, Bowel Cancer, and Colorectal Cancer.
Paul took the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything that I needed to know using the appropriate amount of detail.
Mr Sutton was extremely professional and managed to empathise with me as a patient whilst also clearly communicating what decision had been made and what had informed them. He was very warm, genuinely caring and sensitive to a situation that for me was an exception, whilst remaining professional and ensuring I understood the risks and benefits that surgery held for me. I felt able to give informed consent as a result of this. This was a great experience as I felt I could trust him and understand what I was agreeing to. Including all possible outcomes from surgery. I had better outcomes than anticipated, and again, with follow up visits in post op and on the ward, he was great at keeping me informed. He surpassed any expectations I had prior to meeting him and I felt very safe and able to trust him at an extremely difficult time.
My experience with Mr Sutton was fabulous. He was clear in his explanations, polite, and always made me feel listened to. This also goes for Becky, she was lovely.
I found Paul Sutton to be a brilliant consultant. His approach to me was informative but in a kindly and sympathetic way which I found very reassuring. I felt confident that I was in safe hands and the successful outcome of my surgery has proved that to be correct. I am now enjoying life and this is very much down to Paul Sutton and his ability as a surgeon.
I thought he did a great job of explaining what needed to be done, and doing the surgery. He had a great air of confidence (what you want from someone that's going to be cutting bits out of you), without being too much.
I last visited Paul in clinic with his nurse specialist Rachel 7 months after my operation. He was very professional and friendly and answered the questions I had with reassurance.
From my first meeting, I was extremely nervous and unsure about what was going to happen. Mr Sutton immediately made me feel at ease. He answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly so that I fully understood the process. His skill and care have quite literally saved my life, and my family and I cannot thank him enough. During my recovery he even came to check on me despite having many other patients to look after, which meant a great deal to me. He is an exceptional doctor and I will always be grateful for the care and compassion he showed me.
Always helpful and eases my mind with any questions I have.
My operation was explained in detail by all the team and could contact all the team at anytime if you have any questions
I know Paul from the time when he worked for me and now as a colleague in a neighbouring hospital who we refer patients to. Paul has extensive expertise in the management of a wide variety of colorectal surgical procedures. He always provides high quality care for his patients who give excellent feedback and I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
