Dr Paul Stirling

Dr Paul Stirling is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb conditions, complex trauma, and hand and wrist disorders. Known for his patient-focused and reassuring approach, he provides thorough clinical assessments and individualised treatment plans to help individuals manage pain, regain mobility, and recover optimal physical function. Dr Stirling works closely with each patient throughout their care journey to ensure they are well-informed and comfortable with their treatment decisions.

Dr Stirling completed his foundational medical training at the University of St Andrews, graduating in 2010. He subsequently undertook specialist higher training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in Edinburgh before earning a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of St Andrews for his research on recovery from trauma and upper limb disorders. To deepen his surgical expertise, he completed advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in hand surgery alongside prestigious travelling fellowships in North America. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and maintains active memberships with professional bodies including the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Expert Witness Institute.

In his clinical practice, Dr Stirling treats a broad spectrum of upper limb conditions, ranging from traumatic injuries and fractures to chronic joint and soft tissue disorders.
