Dr Patricia Rorison

Dr Patricia Rorison is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with extensive expertise in reconstructive plastic surgery, specialising in paediatric cleft lip and palate care. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care tailored to young patients and their families. Her clinical focus centres on optimising reconstructive outcomes, ensuring long-term functional success, and supporting clear speech and communication development.

Dr Rorison graduated from Glasgow University Medical School in 1990. She earned her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1994, before completing higher specialist training in plastic surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne and a dedicated fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery in London. She achieved her specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2005. Additionally, Dr Rorison holds a Master of Medicine (MD) degree from Manchester University for her research into human scar formation and wound healing. She remains actively involved in medical education as an instructor in the emergency management of severe burns and holds membership with the Royal College of Surgeons.

In her clinical practice, Dr Rorison provides comprehensive reconstructive care for patients with cleft lip and palate, secondary cleft-related speech disorders, submucous cleft palate, and complex genetic conditions such as 22q11 microdeletion syndrome. Her expertise includes cleft lip repair, cleft palate reconstruction, lip scar revision, cleft rhinoplasty, and palate fistula repair. Working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, Dr Rorison focuses on achieving excellent anatomical and functional results to enhance the overall quality of life for her patients.
