Dr. Osei Kankam

Dr. Osei Kankam is an accomplished Consultant Respiratory Physician who specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide array of chest and lung conditions. Dedicated to delivering exemplary, patient-centred care, he integrates modern diagnostic techniques with individualised treatment strategies aimed at restoring respiratory health and enhancing overall quality of life. Dr. Kankam prioritises clear communication and a reassuring clinical approach, ensuring patients feel fully informed and supported throughout their diagnosis and treatment.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Kankam evaluates and treats both common and complex respiratory diseases. His areas of interest include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, and tuberculosis. He also possesses expertise in diagnosing lung cancer, treating acute respiratory infections such as pneumonia, and managing pleural conditions, including pneumothorax and pleural effusion. Furthermore, his clinical scope encompasses non-invasive ventilation, bronchoscopy procedures, and the management of sleep-disordered breathing, such as obstructive sleep apnoea.

Dr. Kankam completed his initial medical education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). Committed to advancing clinical standards and medical training, he subsequently attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Brighton & Sussex Medical School. Dr. Kankam is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).
