Olivia Farrell is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist currently working on the general therapy programme on Dunham Ward at Priory Hospital Altrincham. She has been part of the Priory team since 2021 and has previously worked across all three inpatient wards. In her current role, Olivia supports inpatients during their admission through assessments, one-to-one therapy, and group sessions. She facilitates CBT essential skills and CBT-informed stress management groups, integrating mindfulness and relaxation techniques to support overall wellbeing.
Olivia provides therapy for individuals experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She also works with individuals living with ADHD, autism, stress, and phobias.
Olivia holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing in Clinical Practice. She is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies at the University of Bolton. Her academic work has included research on the impact of social media on male body image and self-esteem, as well as the effects of the 2020 lockdown on autistic individuals.
