Mr Oliver Gosling

Mr Oliver Gosling is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and management of hip and knee conditions. His clinical practice encompasses primary hip replacement, revision hip replacement, primary knee replacement, and revision knee replacement. Mr Gosling is committed to delivering tailored, patient-centred care, utilising modern surgical techniques including computerised navigation and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Mr Gosling completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Bristol in 2008. Following his initial graduation, he taught anatomy at university level before undertaking core surgical training and higher orthopaedic surgical training. During his post-graduate development, he earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. He further advanced his clinical expertise through a specialist overseas fellowship in Australia, focusing on complex primary and revision joint replacement techniques. He holds a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England qualification (MRCS Eng) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Tr & Ortho).

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Gosling maintains a strong interest in medical education and quality assurance. He acts as an Educational Supervisor to guide and mentor post-graduate doctors in training. Furthermore, he serves as a departmental lead for audit and clinical governance, ensuring patient care aligns with national clinical guidelines. Mr Gosling maintains a reassuring and professional approach, ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and well supported throughout their care pathway.
