Dr Nuria Sanchez-Clemente

Dr Nuria Sanchez-Clemente is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care for infants, children, and young people, managing both general paediatric conditions and complex infectious illnesses. Her primary clinical interests include the treatment of congenital infections, childhood tuberculosis, neglected tropical diseases, and migrant child health, as well as supporting childhood immunisation strategies across diverse patient groups.

Dr Sanchez-Clemente obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Edinburgh, qualifying in 2007. To deepen her knowledge of global health and infectious illnesses, she earned a Master of Science in Tropical Medicine and International Health alongside a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 2010. She subsequently completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of São Paulo in 2019. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Sanchez-Clemente is actively engaged in medical research and clinical teaching. Her academic work focuses on mitigating the impact of infectious diseases among vulnerable children, investigating paediatric healthcare outcomes, and evaluating vaccination uptake. By integrating contemporary epidemiological research into everyday clinical practice, she delivers holistic and up-to-date care tailored to the individual needs of each young patient.
