Mr Numan Ali Shah

Mr Numan Ali Shah is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in the management of complex lower limb conditions. He graduated with an MB ChB from the University of Manchester in 2004 and went on to achieve Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), building a strong foundation in surgical practice.

Mr Shah has developed particular expertise in lower limb arthroplasty, including primary and revision joint replacement, as well as trauma surgery and the management of infected arthroplasty. He further advanced his specialist skills through the Charnley Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, followed by an additional fellowship focused on revision arthroplasty and pelvic surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Shah is actively involved in education and mentorship, supporting the development of medical students and junior doctors. He also maintains a strong academic interest, contributing to research and presenting his work at both national and international forums.

His clinical practice encompasses joint replacement surgery, biological treatments, joint injections, and the management of sports injuries. Mr Shah is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care using evidence-based and innovative techniques.
