Dr Nia John

Dr Nia John is a Consultant Paediatrician specialising in general and developmental paediatrics. She provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people, evaluating and managing a broad spectrum of paediatric conditions. Her practice encompasses child development assessments, management of chronic physical health needs, and general paediatric care, delivering reassuring and compassionate support to patients and their families.

With a dedicated clinical interest in neurodevelopmental disorders, Dr John has extensive expertise in assessing and managing conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder. She also supports children presenting with complex physical or developmental disabilities, behavioural concerns, sleep disturbances, and common paediatric issues, including toileting difficulties and constipation. Dr John works closely with families to establish personalised care plans tailored to each child's individual needs.

Dr John graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh) from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1990. Following her core medical training, she developed a foundational background as a General Practitioner before completing higher specialist training in paediatrics, which included international clinical experience. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice from Cardiff University. Dr John is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a Member of the British Association of Community Child Health. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as an Honorary Lecturer, contributing to medical education and postgraduate training.
