Dr Nayantara Bijral

Dr Nayantara Bijral is a highly dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in providing comprehensive care in women's health. With a clinical focus on early pregnancy complications and advanced gynaecological care, she is committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based medical and surgical treatments. Dr Bijral works closely with her patients to ensure they receive reassuring, high-quality care tailored to their individual needs, supporting them through both routine and complex health journeys.

Her areas of clinical expertise encompass a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological services, with a particular interest in early pregnancy assessment and the management of acute complications. Dr Bijral is highly skilled in early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, which plays a vital role in the accurate diagnosis of conditions such as ectopic pregnancies, pregnancies of unknown location, and adnexal torsion. She is also an expert in minimally invasive surgery, performing laparoscopic procedures such as laparoscopic salpingectomy and diagnostic laparoscopy to manage complex pelvic pathologies. Additionally, her clinical interests extend to postpartum care, including the investigation and management of postpartum headaches.

Dr Bijral completed her medical education with an MBBS, subsequently obtaining an MD and a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO). In 2013, she was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). Demonstrating her commitment to surgical excellence, she is also a Distinguished Life Member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS). Dr Bijral actively contributes to medical research and education, having co-authored several peer-reviewed publications on ectopic pregnancy management and postpartum complications, and she serves as a Preceptor and Co-ordinator for ultrasound training programmes.
