Dr Nadia Schoenmakers is a Consultant Endocrinologist specialising in Endocrinology & Diabetes. She provides comprehensive medical care for patients presenting with a wide spectrum of endocrine and metabolic disorders, combining advanced clinical knowledge with an empathetic, patient-focused approach. As a dedicated Clinician-Scientist, Dr Schoenmakers evaluates complex hormonal imbalances to ensure each patient receives precise diagnostic assessments and clear management strategies.

With a primary clinical focus on thyroid physiology and dysfunction, Dr Schoenmakers possesses specialised expertise in managing both common and rare thyroid conditions. Dr Schoenmakers completed her undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at the University of Cambridge, receiving her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Pathology in 1998 and her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BChir) in 2001. She attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2003 and earned her PhD in Molecular Endocrinology from the University of Cambridge in 2012. In 2012, she also completed her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine. She maintains active professional membership with the Royal College of Physicians.
