Dr Muzamil Asif

Dr Muzamil Asif is a highly accomplished Consultant Clinical Oncologist who specialises in the treatment of a wide range of cancers. With a patient-centred approach, he provides expert care in managing complex oncological conditions, with a particular focus on gynaecological, gastrointestinal, and haematological malignancies. As a leading specialist in advanced radiotherapy techniques, Dr Asif is dedicated to delivering precise, evidence-based treatments that are tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr Asif has held key leadership roles, including serving as the Head of Service for Clinical Oncology, the Lead for Stereotactic Radiotherapy for Oligometastatic Cancer, and the Brachytherapy Lead. His clinical expertise encompasses state-of-the-art radiation therapies, such as stereotactic radiotherapy and both intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy. He also possesses extensive experience in treating skin, liver, head and neck, and thyroid cancers, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and cutting-edge oncological care.

Dr Asif completed his primary medical education at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in 2007. He went on to pursue specialist training in radiotherapy, earning his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India, in 2012. Dr Asif is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in Clinical Oncology, having achieved this distinction in 2015, and he was awarded the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in 2018. He maintains active professional membership as a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in London.
