Dr Muneer Mohammad

Dr Muneer Mohammad is a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist who delivers comprehensive, patient-centred care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. His clinical practice encompasses the diagnosis and management of complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders, spanning from functional bowel problems to inflammatory conditions and upper gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr Mohammad prioritises objective clinical assessment and reassuring communication, ensuring patients feel supported throughout their diagnostic and treatment journeys.

His primary areas of expertise include inflammatory bowel disease, encompassing Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and microscopic colitis, alongside irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, coeliac disease, peptic ulcer disease, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. He also focuses on hepatobiliary health, including fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver cirrhosis, chronic pancreatitis, and gallstones, as well as oesophageal dysmotility and colonic polyps. Dr Mohammad routinely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including bowel cancer screening, therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy surveillance, Barrett's surveillance, and colonic polyp surveillance.

Dr Mohammad earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from NTR University of Health Sciences in 2002. He subsequently completed higher specialist training in Gastroenterology, attaining his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) alongside accreditation as a Bowel Cancer Screener. In 2017, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, London (FRCP). He maintains professional membership as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and regularly contributes to multidisciplinary clinical team meetings.
