Ms Nishani Amerasinghe

Ms Nishani Amerasinghe is a Consultant Opthalmic Surgeon currently based in Hampshire. She graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in 1998 and started her ophthalmology career at the highly regarded Southampton and Portsmouth hospitals with an advanced speciality training programme in Glaucoma. She was then selected into a prestigious Clinical Glaucoma Research Fellowship at the internationally renowned Singapore National Eye Centre and a Clinical Glaucoma Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Ms Amerasinghe was presented with a number of awards and scholarships during her training in recognition of her sustained clinical and academic excellence.

Ms Amerasinghe worked as a Locum Consultant at Moorfields before becoming a Consultant at both St Richard's Hospital and Worthing Hospital. She currently works as a Consultant at the University Hospital Southampton.

Ms Amerasinghe is a highly respected expert in the latest surgical, diagnostic and management techniques in Ophthalmology ensuring her patients receive the current best practice care. She aims to provide personalised, rapid and reliable care to all her patients.
