About Mr Tawqeer Rashid
Mr S. Tawqeer Rashid is a respected Consultant Vascular Surgeon based in Manchester, specialising in varicose veins, diabetic foot disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, leg ulcers, aneurysms and complex vascular conditions. He offers minimally invasive treatments including angioplasty, stenting, percutaneous aneurysm repair, keyhole endoscopic vein harvest for bypass, as well as managing amputations and tendon lengthening.
He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in 1994 and an MBBChir in 1996, followed by Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London. He earned a PhD from University College London in 2007 and completed Higher Surgical Training in Yorkshire, where he became the first National Institute of Health Research Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery. He further enhanced his skills during a fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, focusing on advanced endovascular techniques and limb salvage.
Mr Rashid has worked as a Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, conducting research into stem cell therapies and diabetic foot healing. He regularly presents at national and international conferences and provides private care at several private hospitals in Manchester. He holds the FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is a member of the British Medical Association and the Vascular Society of Great Britain & Ireland. He is also the Training Prpgram Director for Vascular Surgery in the North-West of England.

Mr S. Tawqeer Rashid earned his BA in 1994 and MBBChir in 1996 from the University of Cambridge. He undertook his Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London and completed a PhD at University College London in 2007.
In 2011, he was awarded the FRCS by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Notably, he was the first National Institute of Health Research Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery.

This was my first consultation with Mr. Rashid. My experience was 100% positive. He listened so well and was exceptionally clear explaining the problem. His explanation of the risks in future and the options for treatment could not have been better. Exceptionally he offered advice and the best way forward with reasons. It is so easy to talk with Mr Rashid. Including peripheral artery disease and legs, Mr. Rashid is very well qualified. I came away from the consultation as if a light have been switched on.
