Very professional with clear communication pre operation. Operation went to be plan.

I visited Mr Abdul in a state of high anxiety. He talked through my fears and managed to make me feel calmer. He explained everything clearly and helped me form a plan. He made me feel like a person not a patient. I felt like he had as much time for me as I needed. He is the most considerate doctor I have ever seen

Mr Abdul looked after me with great care and expertise. He was easy to discuss my care with and answered my questions in a simple but in depth manner. He was professional and personable at the same time. Provided me with information about my procedure and next steps to recovery.

When i went to see Me Abdul I had some worrying symptoms and had a history of being dismissed from others. He was kind patient, listened and took the time to discuss next steps and was efficient ringing the scan department on the day for availability. I cannot recommend Mr Abdul highly enough. I was originally referred to him for a colposcopy, but my appointment eventually lead to investigating pelvic symptoms I had been living with for years. I had largely dismissed those symptoms myself, my scans had been normal, and I was very much in denial that there could be anything significant going on. I think I had simply become used to living with pain and explaining it away. Mr Abdul took the time to listen properly and, based on my wider history and symptoms, encouraged me to investigate things further. What stood out from the beginning was the depth of his knowledge and the confidence of his clinical judgement. He explained his reasoning clearly and guided me through the process, but never once pushed me into anything. I was extremely hesitant about surgery and put it off for a long time, but he gave me the space to make that decision in my own time while continuing to answer my questions and reassure me. I also have a trauma history and can be cautious about placing my trust in people. Mr Abdul was exceptionally sensitive to this throughout. He made sure I felt informed, respected and in control, and seemed to instinctively understand when I needed reassurance, when I needed more information, and when I simply needed time. His people skills are every bit as impressive as his clinical ability. I eventually underwent a diagnostic laparoscopy, where endometriosis, significant old scarring and adhesions were found and treated. The surgery also involved bilateral ureterolysis. When I was first referred to a gynaecologist, I researched and selected Mr Abdul from his experience and specialisms. I have since been treated by Mr Abdul over the last 18 months; firstly with a diagnostic laparoscopy and most recently with a laparoscopic hysterectomy. Mr. Abdul is very considered and explains things well with all the potential options given. I would recommend Mr Abdul to anyone requiring a gynaecological procedure. His knowledge and care is excellent.

I believe he was my consultant/Surgeon. He was fantastic. He was kind. He explained everything in an understandable way. He was also appropriately funny which is a brilliant quality to have as it eased me and made the situation feel a-bit less clinical (I know it must be but this can be scary) it was my first surgery as an adult. I had 1 before in my thumb as a child and I was made to feel at ease. He gave me news that I found difficult to hear but he was honest and I appreciated that. He wasn’t rude and again he explained this hard news with care and answered my questions. The surgical wounds look fantastic. They are clean and need and I am very very impressed. I felt heard and supported throughout my procedure, with excellent aftercare and follow-up. He was easy to talk to, made me aware of all my options and never put pressure on me to make a decision — it was totally my choice. He allowed me to make a fully informed choice and answered all my questions throughout.

Clear, direct and very efficient consultant. Skilled surgeon resulting in a good outcome and straight forward recovery. Would highly recommend.
