This was my initial consultation. Mr Abdul took time to listen whilst I explained my situation. He made me feel very relaxed. He asked further questions before fully explaining why and how he felt it was best to proceed.

Polite but aloof. He asked me how i was feeling and Explained that the operation he had performed was a vaginal hysterectomy and not keyhole as planned.. He said he didn't remove the lymph glands as I would likely need radio therapy/chemo therapy . They would have MDT meeting once they have hystology results 3/4 weeks and I would receive appointment to clinic. I feel he was not very sympathetic and didn't explain fully. Although he asked me if I had any questions I didn't at the time but it was I bit of a shock and hadn't had time to take this in. I looked liked to have had a Doctor to talk to later that day to discuss my recovery.
Thank you for your feedback The hysterectomy was performed keyhole and as with all keyhole surgery - the womb is removed vaginally ( this is different to a vaginal hysterectomy) The nodes were omitted as it was felt taking them would not be beneficial to you as disease was more than we thought prior to operation Happy to go through things in more detail when you return to clinic
