About
Mr Simon Sturdee is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon currently based at the private practices BMI Huddersfield Hospital, BMI The Highfield Hospital ad Elland Hospital Elland Lane. Mr Sturdee qualified in Medicine at Leeds University in 1996. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999 and The Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh in 1999. His basic surgical training was undertaken in Leeds, Harrogate and Bradford working in the specialties of General medicine, Accident and Emergency medicine, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic surgery and Trauma and orthopaedic Surgery.
In addition, Mr Sturdee is interested in research regarding Tendon disorders of foot and ankle, Plantar fasciitis, and Shockwave therapy. He has many professional publications and offers courses to GPs. Locally he has treated professional rugby league players from Huddersfield Giants, Castleford Tigers and Halifax Rugby League Club. He also works closely with physiotherapists, orthotists, podiatrists, anaesthetists, pain specialists, radiologists and nurses to provide a team approach to the patient problem.
