Having had a bad previous experience and several years of really chronic pain Mr Dearden was very understanding and explained exactly how he would carry out the procedure to leave me with the best chance of success. He explained he would perform the operation the way he’d been taught, unlike most consultants there seemed to be little ego.

I had the privilege of working with Mr. Paul Dearden during our time in Sydney on fellowship. He is an outstanding foot and ankle surgeon with particular expertise in ankle replacement and complex trauma. Paul is meticulous, approachable, and an excellent teacher. I learned a great deal from him both in theatre and clinic, and would not hesitate to recommend him to colleagues or patients alike.
