Mr. Seb Sturridge is an experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon, appointed at Frimley Park Hospital in 2010. Mr. Sturridge was born in London, educated at Ampleforth College and studied medicine at University College London. He was a research fellow at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and went on to higher surgical training through Guy's St. Thomas' and King's Hospitals. He was fellowship trained in Hip and Knee revision surgery in Melbourne, Australia and then at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He was appointed the Guy's Hip Fellow in 2010 where he developed his interest in young adult hip surgery and minimally invasive surgery techniques.
Mr. Sturridge uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to allow his patients to get back to full fitness as soon as possible. He also uses implants and bearing surfaces with a proven track record to increase their longevity.
Mr. Sturridge is active in research and continues to publish, and lectures internationally. He runs a successful fellowship, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons, with a national reputation.

Mr Seb Sturridge was very professional and answered all questions. He was very approachable and provided great care.

I felt well looked after throughout by Mr Sturridge and the team at Clare Park hospital, so much so I'm planning to go back and have the other hip done. 10 weeks post op I'm back to walking the dog, cycling, DIY and gardening, things I'd had to give up pre op.

Really understanding of my issues and pain and good explanation of procedures. Had both hips done with him 5 years apart and can now get my life back. Scarring is reletively minimal (considering) and really neat. Apart from the physio to get my strength back, I wouldn't be able to tell they have been done.

On first visit to Mr Sturridge I was shocked that I needed a total hip replacement. He suggested I thought about it and came back with my husband to discuss it further. Exactly the right approach for me. All our questions were answered so I went ahead with the procedure. I was up on the first day walking with a frame and then crutches. In hospital 2 nights. When I went home I was able to walk with aids. Mr Sturridge is an excellent Surgeon and I would not hesitate to make contact again if I needed anything else doing in the future.

Mr Sturridge is a very experienced surgeon specialising in hip replacements. I found him to be helpful in explaining the risks and benefits of my treatment, and he soon gained my trust and confidence. My surgery was handled professionally and my recovery has progressed very smoothly.
