About Mr Saruban Pasu
Mr Saruban Pasu is a highly rated Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon practising at the following hospitals:

As well as being an accomplished cataract surgeon in the UK, he is the founder of The Guru Projects Foundation (www.theguruprojects.com). This UK registered charity is dedicated to restoring sight to those living in low resource countries around the world.
As a high volume cataract surgeon he performs over 200 cases a month for Optegra and is their Head of Internal Training. This role enables him to make sure that high standards of patient care are maintained across the country.
Mr Pasu completed his schooling at The Perse School, Cambridge and went on to read medicine at Guy's, Kings and St.Thomas' in London. His comprehensive ophthalmology training was at Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He spent five years as the lead for the Diabetic Retinal Screening service for East Sussex and was previously a Consultant Ophthalmologist for Imperial College in London and in East Sussex. His NHS practice is now at Southlands Hospital (part of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust).
He is a well respected educator and is a Senior Lecturer for Kings College London, and also provides Ophthalmology support to the England National Rugby team medical staff.
His interests include Cataract surgery and disorders of the Retina including vein occlusions, diabetes and age related macular degeneration. He is able to perform retinal and YAG laser, as well as intravitreal injections. He has a strong academic interest having published extensively in medical journals, and has presented his work at international meetings. He spent two years of his training fully dedicated to research at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, which lead to the award of a postgraduate doctorate degree MD(res).

Excellent care was a bit anxious but was made to feel relaxed and was nothing to be worried about,
Mr. Struan Pasu , introduced himself and put me at my ease . It was all over in about 15mins , he explained along the way of all the machine noises and lights , which I found very helpful. Its early days, but all seems well . I have very little discomfort the after care video was very informative. Thank you to Mr. Struan and his team , I can see a lot clearer now .
