A huge thank you to Professor Paul Chatrath for truly changing my life. After years without a sense of smell or taste, both returned following my sinuplasty surgery. Being able to enjoy these everyday things again has made such a difference to my quality of life. The procedure was quick and painless in my experience, with a very short recovery period. I am incredibly grateful for Professor Chatrath’s professionalism, care and the way he treated me throughout. I would highly recommend Professor Chatrath to anyone seeking help with similar problems. I had a septoplasty performed by Dr Paul Chatrath on 21/11/2025, which completely failed. The deviation is still present and visibly caved in, just as it was before. Since the surgery, my breathing has become even worse. My right nostril, where the deviation is, is narrower and harder to breathe through. My sleep has got worse, and breathing still feels difficult in my day-to-day life. The nostril remains blocked or barely functional because the deviation makes it so narrow. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like breathing through a straw. He performed a turbinate outfracture when I had asked him in person not to. In the letter following my appointment, he wrote that he would only consider operating on the turbinate if the septoplasty alone didn’t improve my symptoms. I then agreed to the surgery by email, explicitly stating that it should be without an outfracture. We agreed that he would not perform this procedure, but he did it anyway. At my post-surgery review, when I mentioned the pain I had experienced in my left turbinate while recovering, he told me that this was from the outfracture he had performed. After the surgery, my septum remained deviated to the right. It was still too narrow to breathe through comfortably and felt functionally the same as before, with too little space between the septum and the inside of the nasal cavity for satisfactory breathing. It also looked unchanged when I looked into my nostril. You can clearly see that it is caved in on the right and that the opening is narrow deeper inside the nose. At my one-month post-surgery r...

It was a massive relief to finally feel genuinely heard and understood by someone who was able to identify the problem and provide an effective solution. The outcome of my surgery was successful and has made a significant and genuinely positive difference to my day to day life. I am extremely grateful for the excellent care, expertise, professionalism and compassion Professor Chatrath showed throughout my treatment. Our son has been mouth breathing for a while and also has delayed speech (unable to say certain sounds). We knew something wasn’t quite right. As soon as we saw Professor Paul Chatrath he was able to give us a clear explanation as to why this was and discussed with us the procedure he would need. He was able to answer all of our questions and left us feeling like we were finally getting somewhere with helping our son. Professor Paul Chatrath completed our sons procedure and on the day supported us to feel reassured and kept us informed of how the procedure went.
