Laparoscopic (Keyhole ) Groin hernia surgery
All patients with groin hernia regardless of symptoms should be offered a consultation as the long term outcome of early operation is better than wait and watch policy even in asymptomatic hernia according to recently published international guidelines. Abdominal wall hernia and complex abdominal wall reconstruction ( Laparoscopic/Open)
I adopt a multidisciplinary team approach to complex abdominal wall reconstruction including both open and minimally invasive techniques. Abdominal wall hernia result in poor quality of life due to poor abdominal wall function and surgical treatment can offer a significant improvement in quality of life. I have learnt new approaches in robotic surgery in abdominal wall hernia repair and reconstruction at specialist centres in Belgium .

Explanation
I found my experience as a patient of Dr Tapuria’s to be very smooth sailing. I had little knowledge of my procedure to start with he made me feel totally at ease from the first consultation, answering every question i had. On the day of surgery i felt anxious however, Dr tapuria put my mind at ease prior to the operation and was very attentive through out my aftercare. Overall i would highly recommend Dr tapuria not only for his knowledge but also for his manner.

Explanation
I found Mr Tapuria exceptionally sympathetic, efficient and knowledgeable. He swiftly diagnosed the problem, sent me for the relevant scan and then made effort to do the follow up whereupon he explained everything about the results. He is also a very patient listener as I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all. He also made good and useful suggestions of self help treatments. The important thing for any patient is to feel reassured and in good hands. That alone is a huge help, but coupled with the right diagnosis, and meds prescribed, I would say I had a great experience and that is such a relief. Mr T is also very approachable and doesnt intimidate the patient. This is also key. Thanks Mr T! I will follow your advice to the letter.
