“The thought of any operation on my eyes filled me with fear yet now having undergone two cataract procedures under Mr. Mitry’s exceptional care I am transformed! I had known that cataract surgery was inevitable for quite some time but managed to delay the issue for many months. My sight was definitely worsening as I aged and nothing looked too clear anymore. However, once I had met with Danny Mitry for a consultation I immediately felt calmed by his warm and professional manner. I didn’t feel that I was being pushed into an operation which I still doubted that I truly needed but he took the time to explain the procedure in full and we discussed all options. My two cataract operations were carried out two weeks apart. I chose to have sedation so that I could be in blissful ignorance throughout the procedures as despite all the reassurance given I was frankly still scared! Now post surgery I have to say that I am so very happy with the outcome. My sight is better than I could have ever imagined it could be. From having to wear contact lenses with magnifying glasses for close work for many years and then varifocal glasses, I now don’t need anything! I have amazing vision in both eyes. Distance vision is perfect and I can work on the computer and use my mobile without any extra help. I can even thread a needle now - my new sight is fantastic. Perhaps my golf will improve as well! Danny Mitry’s care and attention throughout was excellent. I received telephone calls after each operation and had two follow-up consultations to ensure that everything was satisfactory. A new brighter world has opened up to me! You have changed my life! Thank you so much! “

I had refractive lens surgery in December 2020. A daunting thought to have someone performing any type of procedure on your eyes, but I immediately felt at ease as Dr Mitry talked me through the procedure and put my mind at rest. He was calming and reassuring and it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing and had a wealth of knowledge. This might sound like an obvious requirement, but when you are about to put the future of your sight in someone’s hands, these are the types of thoughts that go through your head! We quickly got into a conversation about rugby and before I knew it the procedure was over.

My experience with Danny was brief but direct. Danny was very specific about what he was going to do and, although there was a change to the type of lenses that were going to be fitted, Danny explained why those changes were need. In terms of the surgery itself, I think this took no longer than 20-25 minutes and during this time, I have conversation with Danny. In summary, I would describe Danny as being very professional.

From my first consultation in Optical express in Belfast to the procedure itself my experience has been first class and the aftercare was also of the highest standard. Following the scans, in Belfast, it was explained to me what was involved and when I decided to have the procedure a date was arranged to have the treatment in Dublin with very little delay. The location in Dublin was very easy to find with private parking which was very convenient. When I met Mr. Mitry he explained in great detail what was involved which was very reassuring. The procedure was a resounding success and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone with eyesight problems Many thanks for your fine work

Mr Mitry carried out my LASIK surgery close to a month ago and as a result I have achieved 20/20 vision in both eyes which I am extremely happy about. I met Mr Mitry on the day of the surgery and throughout the day he was extremely friendly and down to earth yet also remained very professional. Before the surgery he explained what the procedure would entail and what to expect during and after. Throughout the actual surgery itself, Mr Mitry was very comforting, explaining what he was doing at each stage and how long is left of each step of the operation. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the experience I had with Mr Mitry and would definitely recommend his services.

I recently had laser eye surgery with Danny Mitry and honestly, it has been a life changing experience. When I first arrived, they carried out thorough pre-screening checks and I spoke with Danny before going in for surgery. Danny assured me the procedure would be extremely quick and all I had to do was focus on the red light. I was so nervous at first and was stressing for weeks before the surgery! Danny made me feel relaxed and at ease before surgery. Shortly after, I went into the room for laser - still anxious and worried! However, Danny and the team spoke to me through the entire procedure and it was over within 5 minutes. The procedure itself was absolutely pain free. After the anaesthetic drops wore off, my eyes started to water and feel uncomfortable so I kept them closed for around 3-4 hours. During this time, my eyes were fairly sensitive to light so I kept my sunglasses on. Within 6 hours, I could see.. overwhelmed with the entire feeling I literally burst into tears because it was truly amazing. No contact lenses or glasses ever again. The next day I was fully recovered but I stayed away from computers and my phone - purely because I was scared to ruin my perfect eyes. Now, I write this review 3 weeks later. My eyes are perfect. No pain, no discomfort and I can see absolutely everything. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this procedure enough.

I was immediately put at ease upon meeting my surgeon Mr Danny Mitry, he explained the procedure and made sure I understood everything that was going to happen next, taking the time to answer all my questions in a calm, friendly and professional manner. Once I moved into the operating room, the surgery took no time at all. Mr Danny Mitry was a relaxing and confidence-inspiring presence. Each eye was clamped, I looked into a laser and within minutes it was over. After surgery, I was able to sit up and could already see better (albeit still blurry) than I could before without my glasses. Going back into Mr Danny Mitry's office to check how my eyes were post-surgery, I was blown away by how easy, painless and quick the whole process was. He chatted through the post-care follow-up so I felt totally prepared before leaving the office. From beginning to end, he made the experience so much easier with his relaxed, professional and friendly approach. Would 100% recommend.
