Mr Wayne Halfpenny

Mr Wayne Halfpenny is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon working for the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He has over 30 years of experience in head and neck and paediatric surgery.

Mr Halfpenny has achieved qualifications in both Medicine (1994) and also Dentistry (1986). Following his medical degree, he completed higher surgical training at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and Guy's Hospital in London.

He has a particular interest in oral and complex dental surgery, oral medicine, head and neck cancer, facial pain, jaw joint problems, thyroid surgery and reconstructive surgery. Furthermore, he is one of the few surgeons that are able to perform minimally invasive salivary gland surgery using the latest technology.

He holds fellowships with the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons, British Association of Oral Surgeons and is a member of the Royal Free Hospital Endocrine surgery team. He has published extensively and has presented both nationally and internationally.
