Mr Vikas Shankar is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at The Highfield Hospital with over 15 years of experience. His skill set extends to complex anterior segment surgeries, including cataract surgery.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Shanker runs a glaucoma fellowship program and participates in the North-West deanery training program. He has research interests in open-angle glaucoma and has written several research papers in this field.
He holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the European Glaucoma Society and the UK & Eire Glaucoma Society.
