Mr Tim Martin

Mr Tim Martin is a Consultant specialising in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He works in both the NHS and private practice, The Westbourne Centre. He also works as a Consultant in Head and Neck cancer and Facial Reconstruction at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

He graduated from Dentistry in 1988 and worked in a hospital, and then went on to qualify in Medicine in 1996 and complete a Masters' degree in Immunology. He decided to specialise in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, combining his expertise in both dentistry and medicine. In 2004, he undertook a training programme and became the Consultant surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham. Mr Martin has developed an interest in microvascular surgery in operating on blood vessels allowing reattachment of severed parts.

He has published numerous articles and has also made an appearance in the documentaries ‘Making Faces' on Channel 5 and ‘Surgeons At the Edge of Life' on BBC2. He is also known to be a fellow of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and he is a member of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncology.
