Mr Kersey quickly put me at ease, and was very thorough in asking questions and in his examination of my eyes. His explanations of what he found and also the options for the way forward were very clear and helpful. In addition, his secretary responded very quickly if I had any questions regarding appointment details, which made the whole process very efficient and easy.

I have been under Mr Kersey’s clinic for a number of years now at FPH. On learning of his decision to leave the trust, I decided to go privately to have my other cataract treated as I have on going complex eye conditions. Mr Kersey had already completed this very successful procedure on the other eye in August at FPH. He restored my trust, faith and confidence with his wonderful, easy going bedside manner, advising what I needed to know in a straightforward manner, easing all my anxieties after very traumatic eye surgery at St Thomas’s Hospital some years ago. He is the only consultant in nearly 30 years to undertake this procedure and never once led me to believe he had any concerns or doubts like other consultants. He truly is an expert in his field and I get very emotional still as I type this, amazed that he has given me back a life with sight, something I’ve not had properly since my first detachment 30 years ago when I was a young women in my 20’s. Raising two children, driving, working, etc, etc has been very challenging, if not impossible at times and I will never be able to thank him enough. He will be greatly missed at FPH, but, I know, I have the option to see him anytime in the future and would not hesitate to recommend him. In fact I already have.

Choosing Mr Kersey to provide necessary laser treatment some years after he had completed cataract surgery for me evidenced my trust in him which was not misplaced

I am really grateful to Mr Kersey - after much discomfort over the last year, the surgery to rectify the issue was a great success. Mr Kersey explained well and made me feel at ease. He kindly rang to check on me the day after the surgery which I thought showed great care. I would absolutely recommend Mr Kersey!

From my initial assessment at Clare Park with Mr Kersey, he put me at ease instantly. I’m a nervous patient and left the first appointment feeling 100% confident that I wanted Mr Kersey to carry out my procedures. My first appointment was booked in swiftly and the following 2 procedures were also carried out much faster than I expected. I have been looked after so well by Mr Kersey and his secretary Suzanne (who is fantastic and so patient!!) and could not have had better service from everyone I met from Mr Kersey, Suzanne, Angie (nurse at Clare Park) and the reception team at Clare Park too. I was checked upon after both procedures and feel confident that if I needed anything they were there to help me. I can’t recommend Mr Kersey and his whole team highly enough. Thank you so much to all of you.

Both myself and my wife ( not at the same time) have seen Mr Kersey after having been advised that we had cataracts and ideally should have new lens fitted in order to continue to drive and carry out all normal functions . Following my wife's experience I decided to ask him to operate on my eyes. The first time I saw him . At all times he has been prepared to fully explain ( about 2 years ago) he advised me that it was too early for surgery. Following another examination I returned to Mr Kersey and he agreed that they now needed doing. Because he works across more than one Hospital I was able to have the operations at times to suit me. Both operations have been successful and at all times he has explained to me what would and what did happen. Having eye surgery is daunting but at all times I felt confident in his ability. After the second operation I had blepharitis . Rather than go to my GP I went back to Mr Kersey as I felt confident that he would give me the correct advice. He did and I am now free of that.

I was impressed by Mr Tom Kersey the first time that I met him. As a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and a top man in his field, I was pleased that he was able to carry out cataract operations on both my eyes and I am extremely pleased with the result. I have severe astigmatism and Mr Kersey was able to insert special lenses to correct this. I have worn glasses since I was aged 7 and I am now seeing better than ever before. Mr Kersey’s engaging and reassuring manner, expertise, and the thorough way in which he explained everything, backed by the exceptional support given by his secretary, made the whole process much less daunting than it might have been. He also took great care after each operation to ensure that my recovery went well and that he was available to address any concerns that I might have. I thoroughly recommend him.
