Mr Surajit Mitra is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 15 years of experience working in the NHS. He completed his specialist registrars training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the London Deanery at King's College Hospital with National Training Number (NTN).
During his training, Mr Mitra worked with several eminent gynaecologists during his training periods in a number of different hospitals, including: Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, Liverpool Women's Hospital and King's College Hospital. He furthered his expertise by completing further training modules in minimal access surgery, urogynaecology and gynaecological scanning accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. As a Fellow, he is actively involved in teaching and training courses for both national and international candidates of the Membership at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). He has also organised courses for training doctors, senior trainees and consultants.

He was also nominated by his trainees as "Trainer of the Year" in 2015-2016.

I've been under Dr. Mitra's care for over 2 years, and his expertise has greatly assisted me in addressing my issues. His thorough examinations pinpointed the root causes, and the surgery he performed was highly successful. I'm genuinely pleased with the quality of care he provides, and I'm immensely grateful to have a doctor like him.

He was very gentle and understanding. Listened carefully to my problems and provided a great solution. Because of him, I no longer suffer endless urine infections only very occasionally. What a brilliant doctor!!!

Highly skilled. I cannot recommend Dr Mitra enough. I had multiple large fibroids - which were diagnosed and removed all within two weeks. So glad to be out on the other side writing this review today. Truly lucky to have found such a skilled consultant!

Extremely satisfied with Dr Surajit Mitra from initial consultation to operation and check up. I was àmazed upon recovering from the op that I was not in pain I put this down to his skill as a surgeon and highly recommend him. At all times he explained the procedure to me. I had every confidence in him.

I have been highly impressed by Mr Mitra's thoughtfulness and conscientiousness, especially as the prolapse condition has caused me a fair amount of pain.
