Mr Simon Ellis

Mr Simon Ellis is a specialist knee surgeon based in Kent. He studied medicine at St Johns College Cambridge and then Charing Cross Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in December 1996 and became purely independent in 2016 continuing to treat both NHS and independently funded patients at three bases in Kent. His current clinical practice is exclusively knee surgery offering both primary and secondary opinions.

In addition to carrying out arthroscopic knee surgery for many conditions including ACL reconstruction and patella instability he also treats patients with knee arthritis carrying out both total knee replacement and partial knee replacement procedures.

He has been appointed as the Medical Advisory Committee chair for the Spire Alexandra Hospital and is passionate about the quality of patient case reflected in his reviews on iwantgreatcare.org

Beyond his clinical work, Mr Ellis performs reports for personal injury and medical litigation in response to solicitor requests.
